It's not that they have it, it is everyone coming from ANY other league is already wearing one for their entire playing career and is more comfortable with them. Give it 4-5 years and everyone will have one. Hell 2/3 of players already wear them.

probably because the vast majority of them do...as hoser said, in every "minor" and or developmental level from midget/peewee through the chl/ahl/ncaa requires either full face mask or at least visor. most if not all who have entered into the league in the last 3 years are coming from a situation where its already been required. really the only class you have to "protect" are the current players who would/should be grandfathered in.
a thought that just occurred...the season is halfway over. that makes the blackhawks streak that much more impressive.
