I especially liked the part where Randy Quaid was all diggin in the desert for money he had buried there from his organ donations! HA! What an excellent film...
Sorry on the sizes of the pictures I tried thumbnails but got yellow frogged I'll have to download a decent generator without the price. I have depleted my saving account to $14.35 cnd. only it was worth it.
Me having a scan of Belfast w/ some touristy pics of the wall, the barrier I lived not too far from, and proof that the titanic was built in Belfast, for my gf.
I didn't get to all the places, and We had to be convinced to follow a tourist route and as result were tailed by the fucking PaddyWagon. Two hr. train to Dublin. Our second night in Dublin and my "responsible" escort is faced and ready to spew on the street. I was ready to ditch him but he had his uses. A steady supply of booze and other, a knack for picking up Dutch and German chicks and finding lodging apart from the hitting the hostels, usually by crashing parties.
You live in a country all your life and never get outside the city to see this. Giants Causeway in N.I.
For the most part the weather sucked and in some places it was like March..Awesome Castles inclluding the idiot Collin.
Loads of Places with circles of rocks and stuff. I fell into a rock trying that my legs arent long enough. We met up with the Paddywagon and I was faced on shrooms and gave them a show I think.
Some river we hiked to for no reason other than to get a faggy pic. Tried to get Collin to reenact the sign at Mohr. Froze our asses for about four days and slept in the car.
Galway was okay apart from loads of shit on the streets for some reason the beaches here were awesome. On our last night there we got pissed and lit illegal fires on the beach.
road back good thing english was on them. And b/c I wasn' into spending the last three days at my mum's "intervention" we holed up w/ collins uncle..what a fucking creepy slob.. he had like five laptops..obtained I'm not sure.
We also hit a fancy b&b. I'm not enjoying the whiskey and coke much.
Thats all the pics I'll put you through. For now. I don't know when I'm going to have a chance to do this again, probably have to work my ass off for the next two years. Totally worth it.
It's crazy just how much Belfast has changed in only a few years. House prices have increased by about 1000% in some places. It's still got a shit load of problems, but I've been there quite a bit and like the place.
Alot of commercial developement has sprouted up since I was last there about four years ago now. The only places that won't change are of course where the Peace Line cuts through and all the republic murals that were at one time going to get painted over, in West Belfast, as it's more for the tourists than what it originally stood for. South Belfast is growing with the wealthy while the poorer parts would be falling apart if it weren't for the tourists.
